How to Delete All Facebook Posts at Once
Short answer: Facebook does not provide one universal button that removes every type of post from every part of an account. Use Activity Log to filter the posts Facebook currently exposes, review the scope, and process them in controlled batches.
Start in Facebook Activity Log
Activity Log is the correct starting point because it shows the account actions Facebook allows you to manage. Open it in desktop Chrome, set Facebook to English (US), and use Facebook's filters before starting any automation. A date or activity-type filter is safer than trying to remove an entire account history blindly.
- Open your Facebook Activity Log.
- Choose a date range and the post or photo category you want to review.
- Confirm that the visible items match the intended cleanup.
- Start with a small batch and verify the result in Facebook.
Delete, hide, and trash are different
Facebook can offer different actions for different activity types. A post may be moved to trash for roughly 30 days, hidden from a profile, or removed permanently. A reaction may be unliked, and a tag may be removed without deleting the original post. Read each action as a distinct outcome rather than treating every menu item as “delete.”
