About this notice

Gmail Cleaner – Bulk Delete Emails & Mass Unsubscribe – CleanMyInbox is a browser extension developed by Vladyslav Verbytskyi, an individual software developeras part of CleanMySocial. CleanMySocial is a product name, not a separate company or legal entity. It works on Gmail (Google). This notice explains exactly what the extension accesses and where that data goes.

Data the extension accesses

The sender name, address and conversation count of every conversation Gmail itself flags as a mailing list, read from the list Gmail shows and kept in local extension storage for the side panel. It is never sent to CleanMySocial.

The sender of the rows you tick, or of the message you open, when you use the Super Unsubscribe or Super Delete toolbar buttons.

A short hash of the Gmail account a scan was made in, kept only to notice when the Gmail tab in front of the panel is signed in to a different account. The account address itself is not stored.

Email bodies, subjects and attachments are not read.

Your delete options, lifetime count of cleaned senders, today's deletion and unsubscribe counts, review-prompt preference, and a validated purchased license key.

A random installation UUID, count-once product milestones, and technical crash details sent to CleanMySocial through a delayed telemetry queue. The milestones record only install, first cleanup, free-cap, Pro-link, and review-link events; they contain no Gmail or account data.

Permissions & why they are needed

storage

Stores the scanned mailing-list summary, your delete options, scan progress, today's deletion and unsubscribe counts, review-prompt state, a validated purchased license key in Chrome sync, and a random crash-report installation identifier. No email content is stored.

scripting

Starts the extension's own bundled content script in a Gmail tab that was already open when the extension was installed or updated. No remote code is run.

sidePanel

Displays the mailing-list scan, delete options, free and Pro state, license activation, progress, and the required footer cards beside Gmail.

alarms

Wakes the background worker after one minute to deliver queued anonymous product milestones and privacy-filtered crash reports if Chrome stopped the worker's timer.

Adds exactly two buttons — Super Unsubscribe and Super Delete — to Gmail's toolbar and shows a first-launch how-to. For a scan or cleanup you start, it runs Gmail's own search in your Gmail tab, reads the sender name, address and count of the rows Gmail lists, and presses Gmail's own select, Delete and Report spam controls. There is no Google sign-in, no OAuth token, and no Gmail API: everything happens in the page you already see.

Shows the logo of senders listed in the side panel. Only a sender's website domain (for example, shop.com) is requested from Google's favicon service — never an email address, name, or message content. Personal email domains such as gmail.com are not requested.

Validates a license key you paste for Gmail Cleaner. The request contains only the key and public product slug, never your email address or message content. Rejected keys are not stored.

Sends count-once anonymous product milestones and privacy-filtered technical crashes through one delayed queue, plus a separate closed platform-breakage code. They contain the product slug, extension version, locale, anonymous installation identifier, and allowlisted diagnostics — no email content, addresses, headers, cookies, or account identifiers.

Good to know

Gmail Cleaner is free to use with a local daily allowance of 100 emails moved to Trash and 5 Super Unsubscribes. Optional 3-day, monthly, or lifetime Pro access removes those limits. No CleanMySocial account and no Google sign-in are required.
A Super Unsubscribe is one sender processed. Gmail Cleaner ticks that sender's newest email and presses Gmail's own Report spam. Where Gmail can unsubscribe from the list, Gmail Cleaner chooses Unsubscribe and Gmail sends the request; otherwise it chooses Gmail's “block sender”, so new mail from that sender goes to Spam. Either way that one email is reported to Gmail as spam, and the confirmation says so before anything runs.
Gmail Cleaner does not send unsubscribe emails or create Gmail filters itself. Blocked senders are listed, and can be unblocked, in Gmail Settings → Filters and Blocked Addresses.
Moving messages to Trash is reversible in Gmail for the usual retention window; emptying Trash is not. Gmail Cleaner cannot confirm what a sender does after Gmail's unsubscribe request.
The Chrome Web Store review page opens only when you choose the review action after a completed-action milestone.
There is no advertising or third-party tracking. Customer-triggered license validation, anonymous count-once product milestones, and privacy-limited operational diagnostics are the only CleanMySocial network requests while installed.

Payments

Paid plans are processed by Creem, our Merchant of Record. Creem collects and handles your payment and billing details; we receive only a transaction record and a license identifier and never see your full card details.

Sharing, storage & deletion

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share the content you access through the extension with anyone. Purchase data is shared with Creem solely to process payments.

Operational settings and progress described above are kept in Chrome extension storage on your device. Uninstalling the extension removes its local storage; Chrome may retain values stored in sync according to your Chrome sync settings. We retain purchase and license records only as long as needed to provide access, handle refunds or disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal or accounting requirements.

Security, children & changes

We use reasonable safeguards for the limited license and purchase data we process. The extension is not directed to children under 13. If this policy changes, the revised text and date will be published on this page.
